Born in American Fork, Utah and a second generation mason, Kevin began in the masonry trade during his high school years. Upon graduating high school in Salt Lake City in 1973, now working full time for Western States Masonry on many commercial projects thorough Northern Utah, Kevin set a goal for owning his own company.
1975-1982 Owner/Operator MEPCO 4 Wheeler & Jeep Supply, Ogden Utah. A perfect opportunity to hone skills as a businessman, including retail sales, inventory management, purchasing, servicing, and marketing in a tight economy.
1983-1987 Ahrenholtz Construction out of Laramie, Wyoming as a Mason Forman on such projects as Southern Wyoming University, large Community Sports Complex, large Libraries, and schools in the Rock Springs area.
Kevins recent and local experience is:
1987-1990 worked as a Mason Forman with Marnell Masonry. His jobs included Caesar's Forum, First Phase, Excalibur Towers, Hilton Parking Garage and Cimarron High School, and various other school and municipal buildings.
1990-1992 Kevin joined Jamco Masonry as a Superintendent working on such jobs as, EG & G Building, many churches and large warehouses throughout the Las Vegas valley.
In January of 1992, Kevin left working for others and began the task of setting up his own corporation. His company goals of beginning with large residential projects, moving to only commercial projects, then tackling the Hotel/Casino Properties and then opening the door to government jobs.
Realizing these tasks has not been without taking a variety of classes at CCSN in estimating and contract review, and an extensive on site business consultant in 2004 fine tuned the company business plan. Kevin also understands the importance of encouraging further experience and education for himself and all within the company.
Kevin believes his strong suit is understanding every section of the technical masonry field and his business and operations knowledge. His unique combination of negotiating skills, project management and leadership experience coupled with his dedication to delivering a safe, timely, and quality product explains the repeat customers and steady growth of G.G. Construction Inc.

Arnie McCafferty, Estimator, Fence Division

Arnie is a northern Utah native, where he began working as an installer in 1968 in his familyowned, American Fence Company of Ogden Utah.
In 1971, upon completion of high school, Arnie joined the United State Coast Guard and was stationed in San Diego, California until 1972. His active duty was with the Port Security and Search & Rescue Teams. Arnie stayed with the Coast Guard until 1977, when he was honorably discharged.
The years of 1973 through 1991 were spent with American Fence of Ogden, where Arnie was an integral part of the business. His duties were personnel management, sales, purchasing, estimation of commercial projects and negotiation and procurement of government contracts.
Arnie kept knowledgeable by also taking business classes at Weber State College. The family sold the business in 1991 after being a major supplier in the fencing industry throughout the western states for over 35 years.
Arnies recent and local experience is:
1991-1993 relocated to the Las Vegas area where he worked with Fencing Specialists as their Commercial Estimator. Arnie worked diligently through the entire county to become the one to go to for fencing. The projects were a wide range of security and temporary fencing for such customers as: Nevada Power, the Mirage Resort, Marnell Carrao, City of Henderson Parks Department.
1993-2002 worked at Value Fence as a Commercial Estimator where many of his clients followed him thus building his reputation for customer service. Some of the larger jobs included: 215 Beltway, Implosion of the Hacienda Hotel on through to the construction of the Mandalay Bay Resort, McCarran Parking Garage, Large NDOT Projects, BLM Tortoise Fence and Clark County School Districts
2002 teamed up with long time friend, Kevin Green to develop the Fence Division of G.G Construction Inc., where their goals continue to be reached as they move to large hotel/casino properties, municipal projects, and into the government jobs arena.
With his 36 years in the industry, Arnie is a welcome addition to the company, bringing his complete knowledge and devotion to the fence industry, his ability to fine tune projects, to bring them in within time, budget and safety constraints. What has enabled Arnie to be so durable no matter where he worked, is his complete attention to customer service. Which further explains why so many of his first customers remain with him still.
Always growing, learning and researching his industry, Arnie brings another desirable facet to the company, making G.G. Construction Inc. a much more complete, service-oriented contractor in the most exciting construction market in the United States.
